DIDEME (Direction de la Demande et des Marchés Energétiques)
DIDEME (Department for Energy Demand and Energy Markets) is a department of the DGEMP, which oversees the smooth running of the finals markets for energy (electricity, gas, oil products, solid fuels). It drafts and implements policy on electricity, ensures that the electricity public service operates correctly, and draws up regulations concerning technical inspections of electrical installations by public bodies. In addition, it oversees EDF’s activities and has jurisdiction to deal with statutory and social problems encountered by electricity and gas companies.
