RTE at Smart Grids 2012 (Cnit Paris La Défense, June 20th to 22nd 2012)
As a key player in the European power system, RTE has a major role in the development of Smart Grids. Our aim is to capitalize on the possibilities offered by smart technology, to improve the performance, reliability and durability of the power grid.
New technological solutions, including power electronics, communications and information processing capacities, are available.
Before they can be deployed, they must provide four guarantees: market efficiency, security of supply, energy policy, and environmental policy.
RTE has expanded its research and development programme, to ensure it is able to make the most efficient and valuable industrial choices for the wider community, in complete confidence.
