Laurent Martel, Member of the Managing Board, Managing Director of the Finance, Purchasing and Risks Division

His remit is to ensure the economic and financial performance and purchasing quality of the company in the short-, mid- and long-term, to oversee diversification actions and to conduct company risks management.
Laurent Martel has forged his entire career in the public sector.
Since June 2017, he has sat in the cabinets of the President of the French Republic and of the Prime Minister, in the capacity of advisor for taxation and statutory charges, then as advisor for public corporate investments and finally, since July 2020, “Economy, Finance, Industry” advisor, head of the economic section of the Prime Minister’s cabinet.
These achievements were preceded by different functions within the Ministry of Economy and Finances, the General Inspectorate of Finances, the fiscal legislation department, the cabinets of ministers responsible for the economy and the budget and in the Public Finances General Directorate.
From 2008 onwards he built on these combined experiences by working closely with companies, namely those for which the capital includes public investments, with public financial institutions, with all public authorities, including local government, and with independent administrative authorities.
Inspector of Finance, Laurent Martel is a graduate from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration.
